Visa Inc. is partnering with Stripe Inc.’s Bridge to launch a platform allowing fintechs to quickly start their own stablecoin-linked card programs for customers.

The platform will allow developers to launch card programs in multiple countries at once, starting with Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Chile, the companies said in a statement Wednesday. Typically financial technology firms need to find bank and payment partners in each country where they want to offer consumers cards. Bridge’s platform allows them to provide cards to individuals in multiple countries through one platform. Bridge and Visa plan to add support for countries across Europe, Africa and Asia in coming months.
