US Has 884 Measles Cases in 29 States, Death Total Now at Three

The US reported Friday that it’s confirmed 884 measles cases this year, an 11% increase from a week ago as the outbreak has now touched more than half the country.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Friday this year’s measles outbreak has spread to 29 states. Two children died from the disease in Texas, the epicenter of the outbreak. A third death in March an unvaccinated New Mexico adult has now been attributed to measles, according to Chris Ramirez, communications director for the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center.
