Amgen Inc. will invest $900 million to expand an Ohio manufacturing facility, the latest drug company to promise increased US production as the White House presses forward with tariffs on pharmaceuticals.

The company will add about 350 jobs at the plant in Columbus, bolstering a facility that already employs about 400, Chief Executive Officer Robert Bradway said at a conference hosted by Semafor in DC on Friday. In December, Amgen announced it would spend $1 billion to build a second drug substance plant in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
