Villeroy Says ECB Can React Quickly on Rates Based on Data

European Central Bank Governing Council member Francois Villeroy de Galhau said inflationary risks appear to have subsided and that the ECB is ready to respond quickly to new data.

The central bank must be prepared for various possibilities, he added in an interview on Ecorama broadcast on the Boursorama website on Friday, noting that policymakers will wait until their next meeting in early June before deciding on further interest-rate moves.
