Crews in Puerto Rico were rushing to get the lights back on Thursday as an island-wide blackout entered its second day.

The power loss is threatening to upend Holy Week celebrations and renewing pressure on private grid operator Luma Energy. As of 8:06 a.m local time, 41.5% of the island had power, and the operator expected to restore electricity to 90% of customers over the next 48 hours.
