Indonesia’s Asia Pulp & Paper Co. is seeking a loan of as much as $2 billion to back its acquisition bid of Kimberly-Clark Corp.’s international tissue business, according to people familiar with the matter.

Banks and private credit funds are in talks for a potential loan to APP, one of the front-runners in the bidding process, said the people, who asked not to be named discussing private matters.
