Banco Santander SA is weighing job cuts in its Portuguese asset management unit as it seeks to cut costs.

Santander AM is considering cutting headcount in Lisbon in a bid to make savings and as some work is transferred to Spain, people familiar with the deliberations said. The unit employs about 28 people the people said, asking not to be identified as the deliberations are private.
