Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said he trusts US President Donald Trump despite recent surveys showing growing disapproval of the American leader in Australia just weeks before the May 3 election.

In their second televised debate on Wednesday, both candidates for Australia’s next prime minister were grilled about whether they believed they could trust Trump and China’s President Xi Jinping.
