European Stocks Rise as Investors Eye Some Respite From Tariffs

European equities advanced on Monday as trade war concerns eased and attention turned to first-quarter earnings.
The Stoxx Europe 600 Index ended the session 2.7% higher, with banking stocks among the biggest gainers. Technology stocks got a boost after US President Donald Trump temporarily exempted electronics from tariffs. All 20 groups in the benchmark climbed. Germany’s DAX index outperformed, rallying 2.9%.
