Tanzania Poll Body Bars Main Opposition Party From October Vote

Tanzania’s election commission disqualified the main opposition Chadema party from October elections over its refusal to sign code-of-conduct documents.

The move on Saturday comes just two days after party leader Tundu Lissu was charged with treason and other offenses related to the country’s cybercrimes law.
