Italy’s Giorgetti Says No Extra Borrowing Despite Lower Growth

Italy won’t require additional borrowing despite lower economic growth estimates, according to Finance Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti.

There’s “no need” for an update to Italy’s budget, Giorgetti told reporters in Warsaw on the sidelines of a meeting with his European Union peers. “Certainly this does mean that we’ll reduce indebtedness less significantly that we’d hoped.”
