Conservative Party grandee Michael Gove was nominated to the UK House of Lords by former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who also rewarded six other former Tory cabinet ministers and officials.
Former chief whip Simon Hart, ex-Transport Secretary Mark Harper, former Scottish Secretary Alister Jack and former Attorney General Victoria Prentis were among those to be awarded a peerage in a custom which allows outgoing premiers to select allies to receive a range of honors.
