Samsung Electronics Co. and Alphabet Inc.’s Google are partnering to launch the Ballie, a soccer-ball-shaped home robot that uses artificial intelligence and can project video onto walls.
With the device, the two companies are entering the consumer robotics market for the first time, which has been growing in importance recently with startups raising billions of dollars, Meta Platforms Inc. starting a new humanoids division and Apple Inc. exploring its own machines.
