Bahrain will receive its first liquefied natural gas cargo as soon as this month, becoming the latest Middle Eastern nation to import the fuel as energy demand soars.

The Seapeak Bahrain floating import terminal is sailing toward the region, ship-tracking data compiled by Bloomberg show. It will receive a commissioning cargo from TotalEnergies SE as early as April, according to traders with knowledge of the matter.
