Soybeans and corn erased gains in Chicago as China retaliated against US tariffs, escalating the trade war and threatening demand for American crops.
Beijing on Wednesday raised the tariff on goods imported from the US to 84%, effective April 10. That came in response to duties as high as 104% that President Donald Trump has imposed on China, which is a major buyer of US grains.
