Barclays Plc has hired former Centerview Partners LLC partner Andrew Woeber as its global head of M&A, filling the top job for one of its most important businesses.

Woeber is joining Barclays in New York and will become part of the investment banking management team, according to a memo seen by Bloomberg News. He’ll report to Cathal Deasy and Taylor Wright, the British bank’s global co-heads of investment banking.
