Hungary’s top diplomat said the government is negotiating a bilateral accord with the United States, criticizing the European Union amid an escalating spat over tariffs.
The European Commission should have averted US President Donald Trump’s measures against the bloc by lowering its tariffs, specifically those levied on US auto manufacturers, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told Bloomberg TV in an interview on Tuesday.
