US President Donald Trump ordered another review of the potential sale of United States Steel Corp. to Nippon Steel Corp., opening the door to amend a decision by his predecessor, Joe Biden, to block the $14.1 billion transaction.

In an order published Monday, Trump directed the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States “to assist me in determining whether further action in this matter may be appropriate.” The order said the security panel should submit a report within 45 days.
