Santander Confirms Targets After Tariff Shock Rattles Market

Banco Santander SA confirmed all financial targets for this year after broad tariffs announced by President Donald Trump sent global markets into a tailspin.

“While we are monitoring the implications of recent tariff announcements in the US, it is in challenging times when the value of our diversification is most apparent,” Chairman Ana Botin said in prepared remarks for bank’s annual shareholder meeting on Friday.
