RedBird Capital Partners Is Hiring ATP CEO Massimo Calvelli

Investment firm RedBird Capital Partners is hiring ATP Chief Executive Officer Massimo Calvelli, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Calvelli — who has been the CEO of ATP, which governs men’s professional tennis, since January 2020 — is set to join RedBird in July as an operating partner, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing confidential information. Calvelli will work closely with Chief Commercial Officer Brandon Snow on commercializing RedBird’s sports, media and entertainment assets outside the US, while Snow will focus on that effort within the country, working with management teams to drive revenue generation and operational improvements, one of the people said.
