Belgium Charges Eight People for Corruption in Huawei Probe

Eight people have been charged by Belgian authorities in a probe into alleged bribery involving China’s Huawei Technologies Co.

They were charged with active corruption, money laundering and participation in a criminal organization, according to a statement from Belgian federal prosecutors on Friday. Three of the people remain in prison, while the other five have been released, some on house arrest, it said.
