AirTrunk Seeks $1.7 Billion Loan to Build Singapore Data Centers

Blackstone-owned data center firm AirTrunk is seeking a S$2.2 billion ($1.7 billion) green loan for a new greenfield project in Singapore, according to people familiar with the matter, as it looks to ramp up its expansion plans regionally.

The proceeds of the latest loanBloomberg Terminal will fund Australia-based AirTrunk’s 80.2 megawatt greenfield data center campus buildout in Singapore until Dec. 31, 2050, said the people, who asked not be identified discussing private matters. The construction will be carried out on behalf of one its key US clients, after which AirTrunk will lease back some of the power allocated via long-term contracts, the people added.
