Bank of England policymaker Megan Greene said interest rates should continue to weigh on demand to keep inflation under control in an economy hampered by sticky price pressures and constrained supply.

Speaking at a Royal Economic Society event Tuesday, Greene stressed that wage growth is easing more slowly than needed to keep inflation on target. She also warned that Britons may be more sensitive to inflation after the cost-of-living crisis, raising the risk that smaller upticks in prices could become entrenched.
