EU Pressed Meta to Separate Marketplace to Fix Antitrust Issues

The European Union pressed Meta Platforms Inc. to create a separate version of its Facebook Marketplace site or offer users a way to access rival services in order to fix antitrust concerns when it hit the firm with a €798 million ($861 million) fine.
In the confidential decision from November made public on Wednesday, regulators also urged Meta to not use non-public data from competitors’ classified ads in order to improve its own products, according to the full decision.
