1789 Capital, Type One Ventures to Back Axiom Space at $2 Billion Valuation

Axiom Space Inc. is finalizing a new funding round co-led by 1789 Capital and Type One Ventures, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.
The Houston-based company, which is focused on developing private space stations and human spaceflight, is in advanced talks to raise at least $100 million in new equity at a pre-money valuation of about $2 billion, said the person, who asked not to be identified discussing private information. Terms, including the size of the round, aren’t finalized and could still change, the person added.
