Measles Patient Took Amtrak From New York to DC, Officials Say

A measles patient traveled from New York to Washington, DC, on an Amtrak train on the evening of March 19, exposing people along the heavily traveled route to the highly infectious disease.
DC health officials confirmed the positive case on Tuesday and are alerting people who may have been exposed to the infected person. Amtrak said in a statement it was also alerting passengers. The New York Department of Health confirmed that the person came from the state.
