Outspoken China Analyst Hao Hong to Join Huafu Unit as CEO

Hao Hong, a veteran strategist known for his outspoken views on China’s financial markets and the economy, said he will be joining the international unit of Huafu Securities Co. as its chief executive officer.
Hong said he’ll be responsible for expanding the Fujian-based brokerage’s global footprint, including hiring staff. The firm is an affiliate of Industrial Bank Co. and recently completed a round of fundraising with the aim of becoming larger and taking advantage of industry consolidation, he said. Hong has been a partner and chief economist at GROW Investment Group in Hong Kong since 2022.
