Pope Francis will leave Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on Sunday, the team of doctors treating him said at a press briefing on Saturday.
The pontiff will return to his Santa Marta residence in the Vatican, where he’ll have to observe at least two months of convalescence, Sergio Alfieri, the head of the team taking care of him, said. Francis was never intubated, and he was alert and oriented at all times, his doctors said.
