The European Central Bank will need to assess if Germany’s big defense splurge will stoke inflation, said Governing Council member Klaas Knot, who added that he hasn’t yet formed an opinion.
While investors have already begun to take a view, officials meeting in Frankfurt on April 17 will need to make their own judgment, the Dutch central bank chief said in Amsterdam on Thursday.
