War Crimes Court Says Trump Sanctions Put Its Existence at Risk

The International Criminal Court’s survival is under threat following US President Donald Trump’s sanctions, according to the top judge at the tribunal that doles out justice to perpetrators of some of the world’s gravest crimes.

“Today, the ICC is facing an existential threat, coming from the United States, in the form of sanctions,” court President Tomoko Akane said during a hearing at the European Parliament in Brussels.
