Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves invited financial services firms to help shape the UK’s plans for digital gilt instruments as the government pushes ahead with an initiative aimed at transforming the nation’s capital markets.
Reeves hosted fintech industry executives, including those from Revolut Ltd., Wise Plc, Stripe Inc. and Zilch Technology Ltd., at her official residence on Tuesday and discussed over breakfast the next steps to test the so-called distributed ledger technology in the sovereign debt securities market.
