Nigerian Inflation Cools Again Giving Impetus for Rate Pause

Nigeria’s annual inflation eased for the second straight month, stoking optimism that price pressures have peaked and will continue to moderate.
Annual consumer prices rose 23.2% in February from 24.5% a month earlier, according to data published by the National Bureau of Statistics on Monday. Food inflation slowed to 23.5% from 26.1% and core price growth quickened to 23% from 22.6%.
