Oracle Said to Weigh Data Center on Indonesia’s Batam Island

Oracle Corp. is in discussions with Indonesia’s government to establish a cloud services center in the country, people familiar with the matter said, as the US technology giant looks to expand its data center footprint in Southeast Asia.

Austin, Texas-based Oracle is looking at the Indonesian island of Batam off the south coast of Singapore for the project, the people said, asking not to be identified because the talks are private.
