Comvest Is Mulling Stake Sale, While AMG May Shed Its Slice

Comvest Partners, an alternative-asset manager that oversees about $15.7 billion, is exploring options including a stake sale that may also see Affiliated Managers Group Inc. sell its minority stake in the firm, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Any transaction could value Comvest at $700 million or more, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified discussing confidential information. An adviser has been tapped to solicit interest in a Comvest stake, said some of the people. Comvest is driving the effort, said one of the people.
