Ghana Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson’s budget on Tuesday is expected to deliver spending cuts as the new government seeks economic stability after a painful debt restructuring.

President John Mahama easily won December elections as voters turned against the prior administration in frustration over sky-high inflation and poor economic management, which forced Ghana to seek an International Monetary Fund bailout after defaulting in 2022.
