The Trump administration is canceling $400 million in federal grants and contracts to Columbia University, citing antisemitism complaints by Jewish students since the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas on Israel.

A joint task force of federal agencies said Friday that the move represents the first round of action against schools for failing to address antisemitism on campuses and warned that more punishments may follow.
