France in Early Stages of Planning Defense Spending Boost

France’s Finance Minister Eric Lombard said the government is still in the early stages of planning how to finance a boost in its defense spending and investment.
“The ongoing work in terms of deploying material, armament programs and financing them is really at a completely preliminary stage,” Lombard said at a press briefing in Paris.
