Last March, Jeff Yass resigned himself to Donald Trump being the Republican candidate for president and went all-in.
The poker-loving trader invited Trump to speak at a Club for Growth event after the conservative group had shunned the former president in favor of his rivals during the primaries. It came at a crucial time for Trump, who was still dealing with the costs of multiple lawsuits and didn’t yet have the backing of the world’s richest man, Elon Musk.
