Tesla Gets Tax Sweetener for Houston-Area Megapack Factory

A Houston-area county approved a tax abatement for Tesla Inc. to build out and operate a third megapack factory as the electric car maker expands its energy business.
Waller County, a small county near Houston, approved the tax deal Wednesday with Tesla and Real Property Improvements, the owner of Empire West, an industrial park where Tesla will operate the facility in two buildings.
