Former Ares Management Corp. partner Scott Graves has launched Lane42 Investment Partners, a new alternative asset management firm, with $2 billion in capital commitments from Millennium Management.
“I think it’s a really good time for a new entrant,” Graves said in an interview, citing the rapid growth of private markets, a continued need for liquidity from private equity firms, as well as a convergence of public and private debt, and equity financing. “I’m excited to architect a firm that’s capable of addressing companies’ capital needs at a time of macroeconomic turbulence.”
