Trump Threatens Funding for Colleges With ‘Illegal’ Protests

President Donald Trump threatened to stop all federal funding for colleges that allow “illegal” protests, further escalating his rhetoric targeting US universities.
“Agitators will be imprisoned/or permanently sent back to the country from which they came,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social, without providing a detailed explanation of what would make protests illegal or how his warning would be enforced. “American students will be permanently expelled or, depending on on the crime, arrested. NO MASKS!”
