Mexico will probably eliminate the state electricity company’s subsidiaries this year to vertically integrate the utility, President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Saturday.
The Federal Electricity Commission units will be scrapped to cut out “problems in the operations” of the company, the president said at the inauguration of a state-owned combined cycle power plant in Guanajuato in central Mexico.
