US to Reinstate Dutch Egg Import Licenses With Prices at Record

The US plans to reinstate import licenses for Dutch egg products as the Trump administration works to ease a shortage that’s seen prices for a dozen soar to a record.
The Netherlands will rejoin Canada and Lithuania as exporters deemed as meeting the same standards applied to domestic US egg products, according to industry group EUWEP. The Netherlands, the world’s largest egg exporter, saw its compliance status revoked in January amid discussions on industry practices.
