Anneliese Dodds, UK minister for international development, has resigned from Keir Starmer’s government over the decision to cut foreign aid to fund higher defense spending.

Dodds, who attended cabinet in her role but was not a full member, warned that it will be “impossible” for the UK to maintain its commitments to Gaza, Sudan and Ukraine “given the depth of the cut,” in a letter published Friday on her X account.
