BASF Sees Weak Chemical Demand Continuing to Hurt Earnings

BASF AG expects chemical sales to remain sluggish this year, as demand continues to lag in Europe and China.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, amortization and special items will likely remain flat between €8 billion ($8.3 billion) and €8.4 billion this year, after €7.9 billion in 2024, the company said Friday.
