A Vietnam court has sentenced independent journalist Truong Huy San to 30 months in prison for posting articles on Facebook that were critical of the government.

San — also known as Huy Duc — was convicted by a Hanoi court of “abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the state,” according to a post on the government’s news website.
