Veolia Environnement SA sees further growth in earnings in 2025 after surging demand for water, waste treatment and energy resulted in its most profitable year ever.

Despite the uncertain geopolitical landscape and some nations scaling back their green ambitions, the French environmental-services giant is counting on rising interest for water reuse and desalination projects as governments tackle water scarcity. Veolia is also benefiting from regulations on hazardous-waste processing and efforts in Europe to boost energy efficiency and increase biogas use.
