Crypto infrastructure builder Consensys said the US Securities and Exchange Commission have agreed in principle that the securities enforcement case concerning its MetaMask business should be dismissed.

“Subject to the approval of the Commission, the SEC will file a stipulation with the court that effectively closes the case,” Consensys founder Joseph Lubin tweeted on the social network X. A Consensys official confirmed the comments, and said the SEC won’t fine the company.
