Philippines Says US Military Funding Exempted From Aid Freeze

Part of the military assistance from the US to the Philippines has been exempted from the Trump administration’s freeze on foreign aid, the Southeast Asian nation said.
“The Philippines has been informed of the waiver issued to a portion of the US foreign military financing for the Philippines,” Manila’s Department of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Monday, without giving details.
