Private equity firm Advent is exploring options including a possible initial public offering for Argentina-based payments company Prisma Medios de Pago at a valuation of as much as $5 billion, according to people familiar with the matter.

Prisma is working with Morgan Stanley on its review, which could also include a potential sale, the people said, asking not to be identified because the matter is private. Advent could look to float about 30% of Prisma in a US listing this year, they said.
